Bookkeeping Services in Chennai

Books closed monthly, reconciled, and ready for filing — not reconstructed every March.

Most small businesses do not have a bookkeeping problem in April. They have one in March, when eleven months of unreconciled entries have to be rebuilt before an audit or a filing deadline. We close books monthly, which costs less over a year than the annual reconstruction does — and gives you numbers you can actually make decisions on.

Software we work on

If you already run one of these, we work inside your file. If you are choosing, we will tell you which fits your transaction volume and reporting needs rather than defaulting to whichever we prefer.

Why monthly rather than annual

Books closed every month give you three things an annual reconstruction cannot. Input tax credit is reconciled while it is still claimable. Receivables are visible while they are still collectable. And the profit figure you are working from in September is the actual one, not an estimate you correct in April.

Statutory backdrop: businesses and professionals above the prescribed income and turnover limits are required to maintain books of account, and inadequate records attract penalty independently of any tax shortfall. Where turnover crosses the audit threshold, the books have to be in a state an auditor can work from.

How we work with you

  1. Handover. We take over your existing file or set up a fresh one, and agree the chart of accounts to your reporting needs.
  2. Document flow. You send invoices and statements through a shared folder or directly from your accounting software — whichever fits how you already work.
  3. Monthly close. Entries posted, accounts reconciled, and a closing pack sent to you within an agreed window after month end.
  4. Review call. We walk you through anything that has moved materially rather than just emailing a file.
  5. Filing linkage. The same books feed your GST and income tax filings, so nothing has to be reconciled twice.

Catch-up work

If your books are months or years behind, we do catch-up engagements — reconstructing from bank statements, invoices and GST returns, then bringing you onto a monthly cycle. We will tell you what it will take before we start.

Frequently asked questions

Either works. If you already hold a Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Xero licence we work inside your file so you retain full ownership and access. If you do not, we will recommend based on your transaction volume and reporting needs rather than pushing a particular product.
Everything runs through a shared cloud folder or directly from your accounting software. We work with clients across Chennai and elsewhere in India entirely remotely — physical proximity is not required for bookkeeping.
Yes, we do catch-up engagements regularly. We reconstruct from bank statements, invoices and filed GST returns, identify what is missing, and quote on the actual scope before starting so there are no surprises.
Client financial data is handled under professional confidentiality obligations, accessed only by the staff assigned to your engagement, and we are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before any documents are shared.
